Crawford Land Management 'Restoration Plan' dated 8/22/2018
Dear Ms. DiRienzo and Conservation Commissioners,
Crawford Land Management (CLM) respectfully submits the following application to request a
Certificate of Compliance for the property at 48 Mill Lane, per the approved Order of Conditions SE
83-2168.
This project area is located across the street from the residence at 48 Mill Lane in Yarmouth, and is
almost a completely naturalized area between Mill Lane and Hallet's Mill Pond. The resource areas
present include salt marsh, bordering vegetated wetland, and coastal bank with associated 50' and
100' buffer zones. The project area is also completely within a flood zone. CLM permitted this
restoration to manage various invasive species within the entire project area. Phragmites (Phragmites
australis) and Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) were treated per the Land Management Plan
protocols. Maintenance has been performed every season and the Restoration Planting was
completed.
In summary, CLM considers the active management of this project to be complete and in substantial
compliance with CLM's Restoration protocols and the intent of the Commission. We request the
Commission grant on -going conditions so the areas may continue to be maintained if needed.
Respectfully,
Derek Sipma
