HomeMy WebLinkAbout4991 7 Paine Rd Letter of Opposition 1January 09, 2023 Dear Yarmouth Board of Appeals, RECEIVED JA12 2023 YARMOU ; H BOARD OF APPEALS I am concerned about the application documents & history of issues with the Jumper's property lines and the Town of Yarmouth. In 2008 the town issued a permit for the Jumpers to construct a shed on their property. The shed was then constructed on their neighbors property and somehow inspected and approved by the town. When the neighbors who's property the Jumpers had taken looked to the town for help, they were told this was a civil matter and they should hire an attorney. This was a financial burden placed on our neighbors caused by the town and the Jumpers. From conversation with our neighbor we understand a variance was issued to the Jumpers to allow their shed to remain on their neighbor's property. The variance was issued because of the financial burden moving the shed would produce to the Jumpers. Before resolving this issue, the town allowed the Jumpers to begin this pool application process. The pool proposal drawings were prepared by a professional engineering firm, somehow this was a financial burden the Jumpers were willing to take on. These top dollar drawings now show the Jumpers shed COMPLETELY on our neighbor's property. It is very disheartening that the town should allow such abuse of our senior neighbors. I am also concerned with what I have heard is being said by the Jumpers. Many of our neighbors have been told they feel this is just a formality and because of connections on your board they will be granted this allowance. I would hope that this is not true and that the board in honorable and fair in its decision making. With respect, /P Jorge Mendoza 15 Paine Road South Yarmouth, MA 02664
