Weston DECISION C. z�i • Hearing Date : JUL 1 0 1980 Petition No.: 1679 The petitioner requested permit to: allow repairing of existing pier at 31 Union Street, South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. Members of Board of Appeals present: George, Sherman, Henderson, Singer, and Renkeinen. It appearing that notice of said hearing has been given by sending notice thereof to the petitioner and all those owners of property deemed by the Board _to be affected thereby and that public notice of such hearing having been given by publication in the Cape Cod Times on 6/25/80 and 7/2/80, , the hearing was opened and held on the date first above written. The following appeared in favor of the petition: Petitioner, letter from Board of Health, letter from conservation committee. The following appeared in opposition: None. Reason for decision: This is a petition for a.pier to replace one damaged in th.e 1978 storm. Technically, this is grandfathered and particulary need not be heard, however, to clear the record the petition was made. This work would not create any damage to the ecology or environment or create any hazard on the river. Permission to do this work is subject to all other permits necessary from other town departments. Members of board voting: Thomas George, Robert Sherman, Donald Henderson, Myer Singer, Herbert Renkainen. All voted in favor. Therefore, the petition for variance, approval or special permit is: granted. And we authorize a variance, approval or special permit as requested.
