1. Henry Tinoco arrived on site at 0730 hours.
Left site at 1500 hours.
2. Earthwork equipment:

B) One T66 Bobcat Tracked Loader
C) One JCB 507-42 Telehandler
3. Earthwork observed:
A) Drilling of the shaft foundations for the proposed sound wall within the southwesterly portion of the site along the side of the parking area took place today (see attached Annotated Site Plan, Figure No.
1). The ground surface along the proposed wall alignment in the noted area generally consisted of
topsoil/loam fill at about Elevations 40± to 42± feet.
Future Fence Company (FFC) used an E88 Bobcat tracked excavator equipped with a 2.5± foot diameter auger to drill fifteen proposed shafts which we reference as nos. DS35 through DS49 on the
attached Figure No. 1 and drilled shaft log. FFC augured down to a depth of about 9.5± feet for drilled
shaft nos. DS35 through DS47. These drilled shaft excavations appeared to extend through about 4± to 6± inches of surficial topsoil/loam fill, up to approximately 4± feet of apparent sand fill and into
apparent natural sand. The sand soils appeared to generally consist of tan to reddish brown, fine to
medium sand, trace silt. These drilled excavations appeared to terminate in similar natural sand.
Groundwater was not observed in these drilled excavations.
FFC tamped loosened soil along the bottom of the drilled excavations with the auger and a 5 inch x 5
inch plate attached to a rebar (hand tamper). The exposed sand along the bottom of the drilled
excavations appeared firm and stable.
FFC began drilling excavations for shaft nos. DS48 and DS49 on this date. These excavations were
terminated before the proposed bottom of shaft elevation was reached due to the presence of a water line, which was exposed at approximately 9± feet below ground surface in the excavation for drilled
shaft no. DS49. FFC covered the partially excavated shaft nos. DS48 and DS49 with pallets and intend
to relocate the shafts to avoid the water line.
