At their January 19,2023, meeting, The Conservation Commission heard a Notice of
Intent application for the proposed raze and replacement ofa single-family dwelling
in riverfront area, land subject to coastal storm flowage, and buffer zones to a coastal
bank and salt marsh. The commission discussed the current storage offloats on the
town way to water, inigation in the lawn, and substituting proposed mitigation plants
After discussion. the Commission passed a motion to issue an Order of Conditions
with special conditions for the proposed project at 331 Union Street. The additional
special conditions include requiring the removal of the floats from Town property,
removal of the irrigation system, switching creeping juniper for a different approved
native plant, and requiring the area under the proposed second story deck to be
permeable materials. The permit has not yet been issued by the Conservation Office.
