During the review process' the Cape Codcommission and Town of Mashpee staff requested that ProTerra remove the stormwaterfacilities due to the sandy nature of the surrounding soils and to eliminate clearing treesunnecessarily. At that time, Town of Mashpee Staff also requested that the site designincorporate a few smaller stormwater features to disperse runoff prior to treatment through theexisting vegetated and wooded areas. All parties agreed to wrap the site with a 12" wide peagravel diaphragm.Based on similar soil conditions at the new tower site and the previous Town of Mashpee staffdiscussions, proTerra followed a comparable design principle for dispersing stormwater at thenew tower and driveway locations. Pea gravel diaphragms are included on the downhill sides ofthe compound and driveway. A small stone level spreader is proposed at the low point near thedriveway entrance along Red Brook Road. These drainage features will direct stormwaterrunoff generated from the tower compound and driveway into the adjoining natural vegetatedfilter strips for treatment.lf you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to call us at (413)320-4918.ProTerra Design GrouP, LLC4 Boy Rood, Building A, Suite 200Hodley, MA 01.035Ph:(41'3)320-a918E : i nfo @ P rote r ra -d e si g n. co m
