There is a small wetland resource area located on the abutting lot to the rear of the locus. The owners of the property are proposing work within the 100’ buffer to the wetlands. The work within the buffer zone consists of an addition onto the dwelling with an attached deck as well as an extension to the existing stockade fence. They are also proposing an expansion to the paved driveway as well as a small walkway which is located outside of the wetland buffer zone. Staked straw wattle erosion control will be set along the existing tree line and outside of the 50’ wetland buffer. The proposed stockade fence will be set to within 9’+/- of the wetland resource area, with a gap at the bottom to allow small animals to pass underneath. No trees will be removed for the installation of the fence. Every effort will be made to keep stockpile areas outside of the 100’ buffer to the wetlands, and the piles are to be surrounded by erosion control. We believe the work proposed will have little impact on the abutting wetlands and request an Order of Conditions be issued by the commission. Very truly yours, FARLAND CORPORATION, INC.
