The Planning Board met on March 1, 2023 to review and discuss Petition 5005 for the Blue Sky
Towers wireless telecommunication tower proposed for 1044 Route 28, South Yarmouth. The
Planning Board would like to request that the Zoning Board of Appeals have a peer review
conducted to evaluate the coverage gap, and evaluate whether other less intrusive options including
but not limited to concealed antenna monopoles (CAMS), existing towers, and pole top antennas
could be used together, as well as whether the tower could be reduced in height, and still reasonably
address any coverage gap.
