Dear Lisa ,
In preparation for the Yarmouth Historical Commission and Cape Cod Commission
Representative visit to my house at 331 Union Street , Bass River, South Yarmouth -
below are pictures and a virtual tour of the Modern House - as taken by the Real Estate
Company that listed the home for sale by the previous owners last year.
My family and I bought the home - as shown below on November 15, 2022 of last year.
Since that time - due to the unprecedented cold weather of February 3 and 4 of this
year ... and excessive rain and windstorms - and rising water levels at our property which
is located in the Flood Zone on Bass River - the home has sustained Water and Leaky
roof damage - which compromises its structural integrity - with mold and other factors -
compromising the safety of our family living there - and necessitates that the existing
modern house be demolished and replaced with the new structurally sound Flood
Compliant home for which we have received approval from the Yarmouth Conservation
Commission and a Special Permit from the Yarmouth Zoning Board of Appeals to build -
with no appeal from any of the immediate abutters.
Please send / share these pictures with the Yarmouth Historical Commission Members
and the Cape Cod Commission representative in advance of their visit tomorrow.
I hope this information is helpful - and I look forward to meeting all of you at our house
at 331 Union Street tomorrow morning at 9:00 am .
