Note: Ply wood to span vertically between the floor and roof or provide solid blocking at all horizontal plywood joints nailed at 3" on center (st agg ered). Provide 8d common nails spaced at 12" on center elsewhere. -The door header shall span continuously from the corner to the double stud located on the other side of the op en ing. -Connect the 2-24 jack studs at corner end of the braced wall to the foundation with a Simpson HDU 5-SDS2.5 holdown. The holdown shall be located on top of the first floor shoe, connected to the 2 -2x6 studs with ( 14) Simpson SIDS %" x 2 -1/2" screws, and connected to the concrete with a 5/8" diameter anchor bolt epo xied into the concrete a minimum of 8 -Provide one additional 1/" diameter anchor bolts equally spaced between the end wall and the jack. studs with washer plates 3/16" x 2" x 2" (8" minimum embedment). -Connect the opposite side jack studs to the foundation with a Simpson HDU 2-SDS2.5 holdown. The holdown shall be located on top of the foundation shoe, connected to the 2-2x6 studs with (6) Simpson SIDS W x 2-1/2" screws, and connected to the concrete with a 5/8" diameter ancho r bolt epoxied into the concrete a minimum of 8".
