House was built in 1970, foundation is leaking badly, sump pump working constantly, the structure is no longer efficient in the environment of high energy cost and reducing ones carbon foot print. We have discussed the refurbishment of the existing structure with a few contractors, and all agreed that it is not worth the investment to save the structure. Foundation repairs are expensive and there is no guarantee that the remedy will work 100% satisfactorily. House of 1970 is not a historic house, especially one built with the seventies standards. We respectfully request a certificate for the complete demolition of the house and the foundation. We intend to build a house that fits well with the Cape Cod architecture and the neighborhood that we love.
