HomeMy WebLinkAbout5022 4 Television Ln Letter of Opposition 1Ronald and Noelene Cervin 22 Television Lane West Yarmouth, MA RECEII/ED MAY 2 4 2023 YARMOUTH BOARD OF APPEALS To whom it may concern: We are writing to you in reference to petition 5022 Kaya Cinar for 4 Television Ln., West, Yarmouth Massachusetts who seeks a variance of a front set back relief to replace pre-existing, non - confirming, single family dwelling. We are strongly against this petition, and ask that you do not approve it. Further development in this area will only exasperate the already major flooding that occurs on this specific street. During the past years that we have lived here full time your approval of those in this neighborhood to build larger homes on small lots all increasing the grade of the property has resulted in flooding and damage to our home. The expectation of those at the zoning board of appeals that we should just live with this or rebuild ourselves, is not a way to treat one of the few year-round residents of this neighborhood. The continuation of approving large homes and increasing the existing grade of the property at the same time on postage size property needs to stop so as to curtail any further impact. Please take our plea into consideration when reviewing this petition. At a minimum can you curtail the increase of any grading of the property to limit the impact of flooding? For your reference, please see pictures of recent flooding that occurs regularly on Television Lane and the entrance to the community. When we purchased this property over 25 years ago there were large puddles now with larger homes built all above the grade a river exists in the puddle's spot. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Please feel free to call us with any questions or information needed. We can be reached at-v6-68)--4bb i. Sincerely, Ron and Noelene Cervin !
