Re: Aileen Store - Factory Outlet, 316 Rte. 28, West Yarmouth
Dear Ms. Gallant:
The Health Department received a complaint on February 25, 1993 concerning the
infestation of rodents within the above mentioned property. An inspection was
conducted on February 26, 1993 by Assistant Health Agents, Amy Von Hone, Brian
Heaslip and David Mason. The inspection revealed several violations which need
to be corrected immediately:
1. Major water damage in back section of Aileen Store due to roof leaks;
2. Accumulation of flammable debris in back hallway;
3. Missing/damaged tiles from ceiling in stores and back hallways;
4. Existence of rodents within the store complex.
Although there was no evidence of a major infestation of rodents, the
probability of existence is high due to the poor condition of the complex. A
rodent control program by a professional exterminator must be instituted and
maintained.
In addition, the remaining violations must be corrected as soon as possible to
avoid disciplinary action by the Board of Health.
The Health Department will be conducting a re-inspection in seven (7) days to
verify the corrections.

Dear Ms . Gallant:
The Building Departent received a complaint on February 25 ,
1993 concerning water damage in the rear section of Aileen Store
due to several roof leaks .
On February 26 , 1993 , as Building Inspector, I did inspect
the complete area along with Mr. Rhynd, also a Building Inspec-
tor, and Mr. Weston, an Electrical Inspector. The inspection
revealed several violations which I hereby order you to correct
immediately.
1 ) . Major water damage in rear section of Aileen Store
due to roof leaks.
2 ) . Missing ceiling tiles in various locations causing
insulation to be exposed, not only to tenants but
to the public.
3 ) . Wood rotting and areas wet from roof leaks around
electrical wires . This could become very serious .
Proper permits shall be taken out for any and all work to be
done. Please be advised if work has not been started and proper
permits applied for within fourteen ( 14 ) days , I will be forced
to proceed with further legal action.
If you have any questions , please feel free to contact me
at the Building Department between the hours of 9 : 00 to 11 :00 A.M. ,
Monday through Friday.
