RE: Hetzel Project, 60 Bayberry Rd, Yarmouth
Dear Mr. Grylls,
McKenzie Engineering Consultants, Inc was retained by Thomas Moore Design to
review and design the structural elements for the Hetzel Project located at 60 Bayberry
Road in Yarmouth. We stamped plans with requirements dated 11-8-22.
We reviewed the roof framing elements identified during the town framing inspection
for the LVLs that frame out the roof above the kitchen area. The LVL beam supporting
the gable end is Timberlok screwed into the valley LVLs from both sides of the valley
and from above. There is not a lot of loading on this beam and the Timberlok screws
installed in several locations are adequate to carry the loads and were required since the
angles are such that a skewable/slopeable hangers could not be used.
