Les Campbell, Joyce Seais Fritz Lindquist.
It appearing that notice of said hearing has been given by sending
notice thereof to the petitioner and all those owners of. property
deemed by the Board to belaffected thereby and that public notice
of such hearing having been given by publication in The Yarmouth Sun
on June 7, 1989 and June 1.4, 1989, the hearing was opened and held
on the date first above'w.�itten.
Property located at 1276 Route 28, South Yarmouth, MA and shown on
Assessor's Map #53 Lot P15.
The following appeared 'in1favor of,the petition: Attorney Michael
Stone, for the petitioner; Mr. Jerome Sullivan, petitioner; The Sign
Design Review Board. ;
There was no opposition to this appeal.
REASON FOR DECISION
This is a request to allow the replacement of a pre-existing
non --conforming sign (freestanding) closer to the lot line than the .
required 6 f t . '
Although the new sign i conforming in all respects the petitioner
requests it be placed in the location of the present sign, said
existing sign located within the front buffer.
The Petitioner on May 23,11989 met with the Sign Design Review Board,
who unanimously voted to recommend the sign, as presented.
The new sign is, in fact,Ithe old Mason and Sullivan sign. which was
located an Higgins Crowell Road for many years. This petitioner has
repaired the clock, and re -lettered the face of the sign to read "Jerry
SuIllan Insurance".

We find that this new sign is aesthetically pleasing and -of no ,
detriment to the neighborYood. We also, find that the sign would i

Therefore, the petition or sign variance is granted with the requisite
four affirmative votes!
No permit issued until'20 days from date of filing decision with the
Town Clerk.
