On April 7, 2022, at a public hearing, the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission approved Guidelines for Outdoor Alcoholic Beverage Service Areas. These Guidelines went into effect immediately. A copy of the Guidelines can be found on the ABCC's website at www.mass.gov/abcc. The Building Commissioner is authorized to approve Zoning Waivers for Temporary Outdoor Restaurant Dining Service to take place at existing restaurants and eating/drinking establishments. When making this decision, the Building Commissioner shall take into consideration input from other Town Departments and the General Provisions for Outdoor Seating.
