Kelly,
We are working with Mr. Barthe on his site plan for an RDA filing.
He mentioned you wanted to inland bank shown. We did not locate the inland bank as we knew the BVW would be the
more landward resource area and the thick vegetation on the site makes the bank difficult to locate.
I can show an approximate bank location based on the topography. Do you think that would be enough?
I have attached a sketch of the property for reference.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,

Kelly,
Because that break in slope occurs between the BVW and the water's edge we didn't formally locate it as the BVW
would be the most landward resource area. The site conditions also made it difficult to get down to that area. We do
show the bank approximately on our plan based on the GIS and lidartopography.
If after your site visit you think we should locate it more accurately let me know and we will get back out there and make
that happen.
Thanks,

Hi Danny
I had thought that the top of bank was approximately where the 50 foot setback line is on your plan, but Dan had
responded that it is at the edge of the water on the other side of the BVW. The definitions in the state and local
regulations are slightly different for Bank and Inland Bank so please reference both. I was basing my comment on the
bylaw which defines the upper boundary of the bank as the first observable break in slope above the mean annual flood
level. It is therefore important to show the mean annual flood level on the plan. Are you able to update the plan to
show that line. The property owner has just dropped off the RDA for this. I guess I will be climbing down that bank to
take a look!
Regards
Kelly
