The folloWng appeared in favor of the Petition:
Appeal:
It appeared that the addition requested will be 17' x 20' and that
it is an addition to an existing building. It further appeared that the
addition was necessary to meet the expanding needs of the petitioner's
business. The use of the property will be substantially as it was prior to this
hearing. Several of the abutters appeared and did not object to the granting
of the request as made by the petitioner. A prior appeal was heard by this
Board, Appeals 1.23 and 424, which was allowed as an extension of a non-
conforming use for boat storage and allied work. The reason for the opinion
in the said appeals applies in this case which is likewise a request for an
extension of a non -conforming use. The fact that the property had been used
prior to zoning for boat building and storage in the opinion of the Board
warrants reasonable expansion which is necessary to meet the present demands
of the public to utilize petitioner's facilities. The Board finds that the
public good will not be adversely affected by this grant of an extension of
a non -conforming use.
