Good Afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me yesterday morning regarding our property at 52 Prince Rd.As discussed
you have stated that according to the order that we must remove the pea stone along the sea wall. At this time we have
not decided what or if we use any material for"ground cover". We will discuss the plans with our engineering team and
what plants we will be using. We are still deciding where we would like to place all the plants as we have taken great
care to preserve the natural beauty of our property. We will be submitting a plan that we know will satisfy the board and
us.
Circling back to our conversation about the boat lift,we will be presenting the placement of the lift on the backside of
the house just outside of the no dock zone and outside of the navigable channel. We will present this option to both the
Waterways Committee with a followup presentation to the Conservation board for a variance due to water depths.
During our conversation I did tell you that we had sought out the advice from Bill (Harbor Master),as well as a few"old
salts"from the community to float the idea around to see if it would be possible and/or if it posed any unforeseen
issues. Due to the favorable response,we have decided to move forward and present this proposal.
I understand our team has a few items from Katherine Brookes said we needed to complete which we are working on
and will submit when they are complete.
Thank you,
Paul & Nancy Cruz

Hi Roy,
At this time, the Notice of Intent Application for 52 Prince Road is incomplete and will not be scheduled for the Sept 21
Conservation Meeting. Please provide the following materials and revisions for a complete application:
• Description of how this project meets the performance standards for: 1.) Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage,
2.) Riverfront Area, 3.) Buffer Zone to a Coastal Bank,4.) Buffer Zone to a Salt Marsh
• Alternate analysis discussing the removal of the unpermitted hardscape
• Complete the "Resource Area Impacts" section on the application
• Complete Section E on the application
• Include the 1.5 riverfront multiplier in the fees. Supplemental checks with the difference should be submitted to
DEP and the Town.
• Handwritten signatures for the homeowner and representative
• Gravel is hardscape and needs to be calculated as such if you plan to keep it. If the gravel area is proposed for
mitigation it will need to be removed.
• A pre-construction meeting is the last step before work can begin and is used to check the erosion control is put
in place, the DEP permit number is posted, and that an OOC is understood and on site. All other details should
be determined prior to this, including determining a staging area.
Site Plan:
• Distances from resource areas to structures to be permitted must be shown on the plan
• Mitigation plantings must be chosen from the approved list of native species found here. Container sizes and
quantity of plants proposed are required.
• If the gravel areas are to remain, the dimensions and mitigation for this area will need to be calculated and
shown on the plan. If this area is proposed for mitigation the gravel will need to be removed.
1
• Area for each patio/deck etc that is seeking permitting and the combined total area
• Buffer zones and resource areas must be shown and labeled or noted if the entire site is within the 35' buffer
and riverfront area
Once this is all complete, please submit revised materials to our office and to SERO.
Best,
Kathryn Brooks
