BOARD OF APPEALS
As you are aware at the special town meeting on 11/7/2023 article 19 was approved, by only 9 votes, to amend the
town's accessory dwelling by law.
Accessory dwelling units continue to be a contentious issue, and, in my opinion, any request to deviate from ADU
requirements for a special permit should be meticulously scrutinized.
Petition 5058 is requesting a waiver of the requirement of a certified up to date site/plot plan. Having the most current
site and plot information is essential for the Board to render a decision on the special permit application. I urge a "NO"
vote on petition 5058.
Petition 5062 - 1 urge a "NO" vote on petition 5062, in order to preserve the residential character of Yarmouth's
neighborhoods.
