Elliott, Inspector of Wires kelliott(uvarmouth.ma.us November 21, 2023 Phyllis Palmer 18 Cobb Avenue Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 RE: 18 Cobb Avenue, Yarmouth Port. Dear Ms. Palmer, On August 9, 2023, I was notified that the Yarmouth Fire Department had responded to your home due to a flooding condition and turned off the power. On August 1 lth, August 15th, & September 6th I visited the location and found nobody on-site. Each time I was there I left a note at the door. At some point, in my visits, I noted that the exterior light was turned on thereby indicating that the power was turned on. After not getting any response from you, I assumed that it was not important to you. Upon my last visit I did find you on location and I indicated that there were some issues that needed to be addressed. Namely the extent of the water damage was unknown, and some testing may have to be done to ensure a safe electrical system. There are also some exposed connections, at the electrical panel, that could present an electrocution hazard if not corrected. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Town of Yar Building Department K. Elliott, Inspector of Wires
