Of note is that the roof framing,2x8@16"o/c, are tied laterally with 4x8 @ 4'o/c,approximately 2'above the top wall plate. Ties are sandwiched between 2-2x12 rafters.-In addition to the roof skylite double 2x12 rafter framing all around, the remainder of the roof system was sistered with 2x12 framing to facilitate an adequate insulation cavity. Calculations were performed for shear in the seat cut, with 7" remaining height at the bearing wall. Stresses are well below the allowable shear stress for the SPF No.2(approximate 38 psi well below allowable 65 psi). Further note that the ridge plate connection for the new 2x12 rafters has been reinforced with 2x6 collar ties for direct nailing between the two sides of the roof. In conclusion, the center roof framing sizes are adequate for the intended load. All framing components appear solid and unbroken. I trust that the above addresses your needs at the present time. Should you have any question on the above, please do not hesitate to call. Sincerely, e. ;r Qom`"oF s40y / tea' MICKELE II, 2 GuOILO i Michele Cudilo, P.E.
