Following a brief meeting I advised Mr. Coleman that I needed more information as to what caused the water damage and where it started. On Wednesday, March 1, 2023 Mr. Coleman emailed me to state that the water leak had started due to a"broken valve" below the dishwasher and had run for a sufficient length of time to create a high moisture level in many of the rooms throughout the house. I will require that a Megger test be performed on all wiring within the effected areas and any devices that were damaged be replaced as well as any wiring that can not be certified, by Mr. Coleman as being safe also be replaced. This also follows the guidelines of N.E.M.A. (National Equipment Manufacturers Association) and N.F.P.A. Hi Ken Dave of Coleman Electric Inc here telling you that the cause of the flood was a broken valve on the dishwasher. The plumber pulled the washer out for inspection. FYI. I went over with the Gas contractor last night to find cause of the furnace failure. He just changed the board and worked fine. He put the old board back and is now up to whoever whether it gets changed out or not. As far as the condensation every room was dripping water along with the first floor and the basement as you know. Also I will be in to pull that temp wiring permit tomorrow. Hi Ken Close to a month ago I was wondering what is going on regarding this address. I heard from no one except for the wiring of a new furnace in which I have a permit in for. The secretary said give you a couple of days in advance for an inspection. I can call you in the am and set it up for next week. But I wanted to let you know that Disaster specialists called me and said that it was very unlikely the insurance company will pay to have the entire house rewired. So, he would like me to send him a quote to change all the devices and fixtures. He left a message I didn't talk to him. I talked with the adjuster advocate, and he has heard nothing from the insurance company one way or the other. asked him if a mega report was sent to you (Ken ) yet. I don't have a mega tester and I have no interest in buying one. The disaster people told me he knew someone that had one that could do it. I told him having a mega tester is great but he cant be someone that got one at a yard sale and offered to do it. And that's the way it was left. The advocate said the insurance company will pay for anything to what ever extent you feel that should happen. You sent a letter out stating what you wanted, and I guess no one has moved yet. When I went by both the kitchen, hall and dining room ceiling was down nothing else. I was thinking now all the wiring is done with non-insulated staples and if a partial wiring will be done where does liability start and stop. I had May second scheduled for another knew replacement but had to postpone having too many jobs started including this one and didn't want people to wait for finish. I may not be doing it anyway because I can't postpone again. Sorry this is so long but just touching base to say nothing has been done except for the new furnace, new condenser, and a receptacle by the condenser leaving wire long enough to be picked up when rewired.
