62 Pleasant St., South Yarmouth
On May 10, 2018, the Historic Commission received a Notice of Intent to Demolish a Historic Building
form, seeking approval to demolish a portion of a single family home located at 62 Pleasant St., South
Yarmouth. The portion proposed for removal, is an attached 2-car garage with bedroom above.
On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, after performing a site visit, the Commission met in quorum and
unanimously agreed (5-0) that these alterations would not jeopardize the status of the remaining portion
of the house as a contributing structure in the South Yarmouth / Bass River Historic District, a National
Register District.
Therefore, the owners are free to pursue the partial demolition as proposed.
