SUBJECT: 12 Jessie's Lane, South Yarmouth
At its regular meeting on Thursday, December 8, 2016, the Yarmouth Historical Commission with a
quorum present met with Gordon Clark III of Northside Design Associates, to discuss the renovations
proposed for a 0895 barn located at 12 Jessie's Lane. Previously, at its July 14, 2016 meeting, the
Commission voted to allow the relocation of this historic structure in lieu of demolition.
While the YHC does have purview over the demolition of this structure due to its age, it does not have
purview over alterations/renovations because neither the structure, nor the parcel it stands on, is in a
registered historic district.
The Commission greatly appreciates that the owner has chosen to save this structure from destruction and
is free to proceed with renovation plans without approvaUreview from the Yarmouth Historical
Commission.
