HomeMy WebLinkAbout5081 31 Narrows Ln Letter of Opposition 1February 20, 2024 Phil and Diane O'Connor 37 Narrows Lane South Yarmouth MA R E C E I V E U FEB 2 0 2024 YFiRMOiJfiH BOARD OF APPEALS RE: Proposed Zoning Change for the Proposed In -ground Pool at 31 Narrows Lane To the Zoning Board of Appeals Committee, We are writing in regards to the Board of Appeals zoning change being requested for the in -ground pool at 31 Narrows Lane. We live at 37 Narrows Lane which is an abutting lot and, from the plan that is being proposed, it appears we are the lot that the proposed 36 foot pool would run alongside of. The plan shows that our neighbors would like to have the pool be 10 feet closer to our yard than the by-laws currently allow. Given the size of the pool and the close proximity to our yard that is being requested, we are NOT in favor of any changes to the existing zoning by-laws adhered to by the town. We believe that having a 36 foot pool run the length of our side yard, as close as is being proposed, will create additional noise and will ultimately affect our home resale value which are very negative impacts for us. We would like to request that the town NOT approve the proposed variation to the by-laws and to please continue to enforce the existing by-laws that do exist.
