Subject: Proposed Zoning Change for the Proposed In -ground pool at 31 Narrows Lane
To the Zoning Board of Appeals:
I am writing to you regarding the proposed in -ground pool at 31 Narrows Lane and the request for variances to decrease
the 20' set back regulation to 10'.
My property (26 Erickson Way) abuts the entire 18' side of the proposed pool. My backyard is not deep and therefore my
retaining wall (which was there when I purchased the property) is 10' from their property property line. My table and
chairs area begins at 11'.
feel approval of the changes to the setback regulations will have a huge detrimental effect to my property, my potential
resale value as well as most importantly, my and my family's quality of life during the best months of the year.
I understand that the Kostas would like to use every foot of their property to fit not only this very large pool but also
maintain their very large driveway.
However considering the anticipated significant increase in noise, the unbelievably close (proposed) proximity, I
respectfully request that the approval of the proposed variance to the by-laws BE DENIED. They still have to ability to
have their pool while including the 20' set -back regulations by making changes to their driveway.
I do plan to attend the meeting on Thursday February 22nd and provide my input as needed.
