The only comment at this me would be to ask if the hydrant can be placed further back on that island area, to assure clearance when turning around. As shown in the sweep path analysis, its close, and moving the hydrant shouldn’t be an issue we assume. As lile as 3 feet. Let me know. Lt. Do these changes look good? Please let me know – Thank you, ED _____________________________________________ Edward L. This would allow them the flexibility to decide to add sprinklers to the building (either now or later). I also remember you explaining to me that if we added a fire hydrant near the building, that your Dept. could accept a 16-ft. wide access drive. This would better simplify the discussions (and land requirements) with the neighbor to the north (Mr. Belanger). So we have revised the site plan (attached) to show the following: New 6-inch fire protection line to the building New fire hydrant opposite the building in the parking island Change in paved width of the access drive to 16 ft. wide The access drive will also have 1 ft. crushed stone shoulders – providing an effective 18 ft. width Finally, we have revised the Emergency Access Plan (also attached) to reflect the updated Pierce pumper truck specs that you provided me at the meeting. So, in summary, please review these plans, and let me know if this new design is acceptable. If this new design is acceptable to you, I will include your approval comments in the application package we will submit to the ZBA. Thanks very much, ED _____________________________________________ Edward L.
