108.2 No person shall rent or leasc, or offcr to rent or lcase, any building or any portion ofa building to be used for human
habitation rlithout first rcsistering with the Board ofHealth, which shall dcterminc the nunrber ofpersons such building or portion
ofa building may lawfully accomntodate under the provisions ofthe Massachusetts State Sanitary Code, and without first
also conspicuously posting rvithin such building or ponion of a building a certificate of rcgistrarion provided by the Board of
tlealth spccifliing the number ofpersons such a building or portion ofa building may lawfully accommodate.

1"ear. u hichever is sooncr. Thercafter the pcnrit shall be annually rcncwed.
108.5 A pcrmit issucd under this chapter shall be revoked il. at any time, the licensing authoritics are satisfied that the licensee is
untit to hold the license. They may suspend and make inoperative, for such period of time as they may deem proper, the
pennit mentioned herein for any cause deemed satisfhctory to them. The revocation and suspension shall not be made
until after invcstigation and a hearing or aftcr giving thc licensee an opportunity to be heard. Notice of the hearing shall
be delivered to the pemritree not less than three (3) days before the time ofthe said hearing.
I08.6 Any person or tenant violating any provision ol this chapter shall bc punished by a fine of not more than two hundred dollars
(S200.00). Each day's violation constitutes a separate of'feirse.
