1. Remove / replace sidewall/shingles on rear and sides— Exempt Colors (natural)
a. Existing grey painted cedar changed to Natural white cedar shingles
2. Remove / replace front clapboards — No Change in appearance & exempt color (white)
a. Cedar clapboards existing are painted white replaced with new cedar clapboards painted
white
3. Remove / replace shutters— Exempt Colors (Black)
a. Existing blue shutters to be replaced with black shutters
4. Repair existing trim as needed —No Change in appearance & exempt color (white)
a. Existing white trim repair and replace as needed, color to remain white
5. Remove / replace existing aluminum gutters —No Change in appearance & exempt color (white)
a. replace white aluminum gutters with white aluminum gutters
6. Install 4' boulder retaining wall -rear right corner of property -Not visible from a public way
a. Boulder wall using indigenous boulders.
b. Boulder wall is down in the bottom of a hill out of view of any roadway
7. Install split rail fence —Exempt Feature (Fence), Exempt Color (natural)
a. Split rail fence at rear and sides of the property, left natural (not painted)
Other work not eligible for an Old Kings Highway Regional Historic District exemption to be submitted
under separate cover on an application for Certificate of Appropriateness.
