Elliott,Inspector of Wires kelliottava rm o u t h.m a.u s December 27, 2022 William Whalen, President Whalen Restoration Services, Inc. 22 American Way South Dennis, MA 02660 RE: Unlicensed personnel performing electrical work Dear Mr. Whalen; On December 22, 2022, I received notification that new electrical work appeared to have been done at 388 North Main Street in Yarmouth. While subsequently visiting the site, a person who identified himself as your foreman, with your vehicles and crew wearing clothing with logos matching your company vehicles, indicated he replaced an electrical box and installed temporary lighting. I am sending you this letter as a courtesy. Per M.G.L Ch 143 §3L, no person shall perform any wiring unless said person is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Board of State Examiners of Electrician. Any work done by another may be considered a danger to the public. Should any future occurrences arise, a complaint for each person will be filed with the district attorney's office and the Division of Professional Licensure. I am required to send a letter to the owner of the property to notify them of possible dangers to persons and property. You must retain the services of a licensed electrician with respect to what your employee has done. If you have any questions, please contact this office.
