CONSERVATION REVIEW NOTES
1. ELEVATIONS REFER TO NAVD88. BENCHMARK IS INDICATED ON THE PLAN AS THE TAG BOLT ON
AFIRE HYDRANT AT THE CORNER OF SHIP SHOPS WAY. TRANSFER THE ELEVATION TO A
STABLE FIXED POINT.
2. PLAN REF. PLAN BOOK 138. PG. 15; PB 368, PG. 4 - TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEY PERFORMED BY
ROBERT FREEEMAN, PLS.
3. WORK SITE IS LOCATED WITHIN FEMA COASTAL FLOOD ZONE "AE" EL. = 11 NAVD88
4. THE PROPOSED BUILDING SHALL BE FLOOD CODE COMPLIANT WITH FLOOD WATER
EQUALIZATION VENTS AT GRADE ON 3 SIDES.
5. A WORK LIMIT, IF REQUIRED SHALL BE ESTABLISHED TO CONTROL SURFACE RUNOFF ALONG
THE EDGE OF THE WORK AREA, CUT PAVEMENT EDGES, ETC.
6. THE EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE EMPTIED OF ALL STORED MATERIALS PRIOR TO DEMOLISION.
THIS REQUIREMENT IS SUBJECT TO INSPECTION.
7. PROTECTION OF UTILITIES - EACH UTILITY CONNECTION (ELECTRIC, MUNICIPAL WATER, CATV,
TELEPHONE, GAS) TO THE BUILDING SHALL BE ACCOUNTED FOR AND TERMINATED IN A MANNER
THAT PERMITS RECONNECTION.
8. FACILITY SERVICES ELECTRIC LINES, BUILDING ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINES NOT AFFECTED BY
DEMOLITION SHALL BE LOCATED AND PROTECTED. CONTACT A PRIVATE MARK -OUT SEVICE AS
NEEDED.
9. THE EXISTING BUILDING SHALL BE DEMOLISHED AND REMOVED IN MANAGEABLE SEGMENTS,
LADED OFF SITE FOR SCRAP DISPOSAL IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE SOLID WASTE
REGULATIONS.
10.A SUITABLY -SIZED TRASH DUMPSTER W/ COVER LID SHALL BE USED TO CONTAIN DAY-TO-DAY
CONSTRUCTION RELATED DEBRIS. THE CONTAINER SHALL BE MONITIRED AND EMPTIED
REGULARLY AS NECESSARY.
11. ROOF RUNOFF DRAINAGE TRENCHES 2 FT. DEEP AND 2 FT. WIDE FILLED W/ 1 1/2 IN. DIAM. STONE
SHALL BE INSTALLED ALONG EACH DRIP EDGE SIDE OF THE NEW BUILDING PERIMETER.
12.IF APPLICABLE, ROOF DRAIN DOUNSPOUTS SHALL BE CONNECTED TO A 4 INCH DIAM.
PERFORATED PVC PIPE OR EQUAL SLOTTED DRAIN PIPE WITHIN THE STONE -FILLED TRENCH FOR
THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF EACH TRENCH DRAIN.
13.THE EXISTING PAVEMENT AREAS SHALL BE PRESERVED TO THE DEGREE PRACTICAL. REPAVING
OF EXISTING PAVEMENT AREAS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY POST CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS.
14.DRIVE AREAS AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION MAY BE RE -GRADED TO MATCH INTO POST -
CONSTRUCTION ELEVATIONS. MAINTAIN EXISTING DRAINAGE PATTERNS. REGRADED AREAS
AND LOW POINTS MAY BE RECOVERED TO APPROPRIATE GRADE BY ADDITION A COMPACTED 8
INCH MIN. THICKNESS APPLICATION OF CRUSHED NATIVE GRAVEL BASE MATERIAL (PREFERRED
MASS. DOT STANDARD SPEC. M1.03.1.)
15.ON-SITE, EXISTING TRAFFIC PATTERN IS BEING MAINTAINED VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT LOADING
UNCOMMON TO THE SITE SHALL REMAIN WITHIN ESTABLISHED DRIVE AREAS AND WORK LIMITS.
