Town of Yarmouth Building Department,
I am writing this letter in response to the Five Year inspection needed on Building One at the
Englewood Condo Association at 60 Broadway Street in West Yarmouth. Over the last several
months I have been working closely with J McKinnon Company (JMC) out of Hanson MA. At
this time I can certify that JMC has completed the permitting work as described in the
Construction Control Document, addressing only the items approved by the association.
As the Engineer on record for this project, I certify that the decks, stairs and railings are safe to
use through December 31, 2024. Prior to this date I will require the following items be
addressed by the association:
Repair damaged/rotted deck boards or replace all deck boards to match new composite pieces
on both sides of the building
Existing deck and staircase on the courtyard side needs to be replaced, its currently not to code
and has structural issues.
In December or prior to, an additional inspection of the facility will be required before I will
submit another structural certification/letter for Building One.
