I am writing this letter in response to the Five Year inspection needed on Building Two at the
Englewood Condo Association at 60 Broadway Street in West Yarmouth. Over the last several
months I have been working closely with J McKinnon Company(JMC) out of Hanson MA. At
this time I can certify that JMC has completed a new staircase on the south side of Building
Two according to the engineered plans submitted to the building department. Any other work
described in the Construction Control Document, has not been addressed at this time, and put
on hold per Englewood Condo Associations request.
As the Engineer on record for this project, I certify that the existing decks, stairs and railings
are safe to use through December 31, 2024. Prior to this date I will require the following items
be addressed by the association:
Repair damaged/rotted deck boards or replace all deck boards to match new composite pieces
on both sides of the building
Existing staircase on the pool side needs to be replaced and reengineered.
All railings on both sides of the building need to be replaced or repaired.
Structural posts on the south side of the building need to be replaced on new footings.
In December or prior to, an additional inspection of the facility will be required before I will
submit another structural certification/letter for Building Two.
