RE: Camping and Recreational Equipment/Shed
Dear Ms. Venneri,
This letter constitutes a formal zoning enforcement order under MGL Ch 40A.
March 3, 2023
It has come to the attention of the Building Department that a trailer is being stored in the front of this property. This
is a violation of the Town of Yarmouth Zoning Bylaws section 401.1.2.
401.1.2 Camping and Recreational Equipment.
401.1.2 jfcamping or recreational equipment is parked or stored outside of a garage. it shall be parked or stored to
the rear of the front of the building line of the lot, except.for loading and unloading.
There is also a shed/structure that has been placed on this property without the benefit of a required permit. This is a
violation of Section 103.1. l of the Town of Yarmouth Zoning Bylaw.
103.1.1 Compliance certification. Buildings, structures or land may not be erected, substantially altered or
changed in use u1ithout certification by the Building Inspector that such action is in compliance with then
applicable zoning, or vvithout review by him regarding whether all necessary permits have been received from
those governmental agencies from which approvals required by.federal, state or local law. Issuance of a
building permit or certificate of use and occupancy, where required under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
State Building Code, may serve as such certification.
Failure to comply with the provisions of the zoning bylaw may result in penalties as prescribed.
101.3 Penalties. Any person violating any of the provisions of this bylaw shall be fined not more than three hundred
dollars (S300) for each offense. Each day that such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
You are hereby ordered to abate and or correct said violations or seek relief from the Zoning Board of Appeals
as allowed by MGL Ch 40a §7 & § 15. You also have the right to appeal this decision with the Zoning Board of
Appeals within 30 days of this letter.
You are required to respond within 7 days of this letter.
