RE: 8 Lyndale Road (aka 200 South Shore Dr, South Yarmouth)
My father purchased this home in 1960 and we purchased it in December of 2015. We are hoping to add a 27 foot long, 10 foot wide side one story addition.
The proposed 270 Square foot addition to the side of the house is depicted on the attached proposed plot plan. We have a special needs daughter who utilizes a wheelchair. The addition
will incorporate a handicap ramp from our driveway and allow her to navigate the widened kitchen. The existing house was built in 1950 and is a 2,268 square foot frame 2 story home.
This addition will not increase number of bedrooms or bathrooms.
The addition would be constructed by Lohr Construction of South Dennis, Mass www.lohrconstructionco.com. To access the site, contractor will come off Lyndale Road onto a paved driveway
directly to the site with a rubber tired mini excavator, the turf will planked if necessary to alleviate ground pressure. The excavator will dig a 48 inch deep cut for the wall footings.
The excavation and concrete pour will take 3 days.
Currently the lot is already ripped up by the ongoing sewer project, I have attached a picture. The contractor will install a silt barrier as required.
