The purpose of this form is to determine if your business complies with the Town of Yarmouth Zoning Bylaw. The applicant
shall complete the top section of this form and file it with the Building Department. Once the Building Department has

Board of Directors Meeting Minutes,October 7,2024
Yarmouth Food Pantry
Members Present: Steve Albright,Jill Albright,Nora Bruinooge,Jane Kinkow,Joseph MacLelland,Susan Martin,Kathleen
McClellan,Sarah O'Reilly,Katrina Polk,Bill Strong,Erica Wenberg,and Becky White.
Members Absent: Andy Crosby,Jody Kannaly,and Betania Pereria.
I. Welcome
• Steve welcomed those in attendance.
IL September Meeting Minutes
• September Meeting Minutes reviewed.Motion to accept by Steve and second by Bill.Passed.
III. Treasurer's Report—Financial Report
• We're in good shape thanks to generous donations from Whole Foods and Cape Cod Health Care.Motion to accept
by Steve and second by Jane.Passed.
IV. Client Services Report
• Client Services Report presented.As of September 30,2024,there are 5,846 households,12,646 individuals
registered.The monthly report has been revised to reflect only the last seven fiscal years.
V. Executive Director Report
• Christmas Gift Distribution—St.Pius X Church will now provide children,15 years old and younger,two gifts(age
reduced due to our high number of clients).Gifts will be ready for pick up on December 20 for distribution on
December 21.Our$500 Target gift card will be given to the church for purchase of requested winter coats.
• Thanksgiving—Turkeys and Stop&Shop gift cards will be given to families of three or more people.Chickens will
be given to those households of one or two people.
• Our client numbers are rising.We need to monitor our capacity to meet the food demand and our ability to serve the
number of clients at each distribution.In the new year,we will reassess this issue.Consideration may be given to
appealing to large businesses for additional food drives and limiting client distributions to one time/month.
• There is no food delivery on October 14/Columbus Day.Steve will arrange a pickup on Tuesday at GBFB.
VI. Committee Reports
• Facility/Space:Nothing to report.We still need a meeting with the landlord regarding our lease renewal.
• Communication:Having difficulty posting the Turkey Shoot flyer. Will seek help from a volunteer on Wednesday.
• Procurement/Fundraising/personnel: Nothing to report.
• Board Development:Jill will follow up with the Yarmouth Fire Chief regarding a representative.Kathy will draft a
letter for Steve to send to Board members who are not attending,thanking them for their interest.
VII. Old Business
• Hyannis Open Streets:October 20,2024,from 12:00—4:00 PM.(Rain date—October 27).Nora has volunteers from
her high school.Prizes include water/gift bags/post it notes.Items for the booth have been secured.Sue will arrange
for assembly of 100—150 gift bags containing 2 to 3 items.Nora will pick up tables/signage/handouts at the Pantry
prior to the event.
• Food Drive: November 9 from 10:00 AM—2:00 PM.Kathy will send an email to recruit volunteers by October 21.
• Turkey Shoot: November 3.Becky requested hole sponsors and raffle items.Turkey dinner will be held at The Loft.
• Volunteer Appreciation Party: Kathy will send out an email invitation to all volunteers.
• Name Change: The results of our survey to volunteers were reviewed.After a lengthy discussion,a motion was
made by Sarah,second by Joe and all in favored agreed to Cape Cod Community Pantry,Nourishing Our Neighbors
Since 2010.Jill will follow up with the necessary filing of paperwork.
• Food Drive,Barnstable: February 9,2025,from 10:00 AM—2:00 PM.Sarah will be attending the Barnstable Youth
Commission November meeting to answer questions and assist them with their planning.
VIIL New Business
• Elevate Nora to Voting Member of Board:Motion to accept by Sarah and second by Jane.Passed.
• Replacement of Platform on Lift Gate: Cost$4,522+shipping.Motion to accept by Steve,second by Joe.Passed.
• Replacement of Tires on Small Van: Cost$725.Motion to accept by Steve,second by Jane.Passed.
• Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Dinner October 10:FYI if you wish to attend.
• Donation to Yarmouth Council on Aging—Annual Polar Plunge:We do not contribute to this event.
• Cape Cod 5 Shopping Bags: Karina will inquire about securing shopping bags with the bank logo for use by clients.
• Whole Food Mystery Saving Cards: These will be shared with volunteers.
The meeting adjourned at 7:13 PM.
Next meeting is scheduled for Monday,November 4,2024,at 6:00 PM via Zoom.
