Investigation verified this information. Talking with homeowner he stated he had vent fan in bathroom running for approximately 10 min before hearing a screeching noise when he went to investigate he found fire and melting plastic dripping from fan. He took his child and left. Investigation shows Nutone Fan Model # 668RP with heavy fire damage and v pattern in the area of the motor and plastic fan assembly. Wiring inspector on location confirms he believes fire started not initially in the wiring but the mechanical motor of the fan. No fuses tripped in the fuse box FD shut of main breaker on fuse box upon arrival. Homeowner advised they cant stay in house due to water, smoke and fire damage. They were collecting belonging s and making arrangements to leave. Pictures were taken of the motor, fire origin and electrical panel.
