Remaining invasive vegetation, limited to small patches of phragmites and bamboo clumps that are trying to regenerate, will be selectively treated. • All vegetation debris will be removed from the site and brought to an off-site disposal area. Initial seeding preparation will be performed with a walk-behind skid steer with a York rake to remove debris left behind by previous mowing, to allow for good seed-to-soil contact and higher germination rates. • The restoration areas will be planted with native, woody trees and shrubs. Existing turf within the project area will be removed with a sod cutter (see protocol detailed in the Land Management Plan) and the area will be raked and seeded with the respective seed mixes indicated at right. Steep slopes will be blanketed with 100% biodegradable erosion control blanket. • Restoration areas shown with a hatch, i.e. the upland restoration area north of Lot 14 and the wet meadow restoration north of Lot 13, will be mowed annually in late winter to prevent invasive vegetation located on the Town property from migrating into private property, and to allow the wet meadow to regenerate. Areas shown in a solid tone will not be mowed. • Existing woody vegetation, including clethra and baccharis, will remain intact, be protected during the proposed management and mowing, and and be allowed to naturalize in the wet meadow in future. • Temporary irrigation will be required for the first two to three growing seasons while plants establish. Once plants are established, irrigation will be removed.
