22 Mirrorbrook Road has been in our family for manyyears. During that time, our parents,
siblings, and children have enjoyed many safe walks and bike rides in this quiet
neighborhood.
The town of Yarmouth has plenty of areas zoned for businesses. We see no reason why a
family day care should be permitted in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We have been
renting our house to an elderly couple for almost ten years, and would hate to see these
wonderful tenants have to deal with the added noise, traffic, and congestion this business
would generate. We have concerns as to who would oversee the limit of no more than six
children at this facility. Are we, as neighbors, required to conduct a head count each day to
ensure the limit has not exceeded six children? We are also concerned about the
additional waste/trash, this would create, along with extra noise. What would be the hours
of operation, and who would be responsible for enforcing these hours? Who determines if
a breach of variance has occurred?
We feel it is not in the best interest to burden the residents of this quiet neighborhood,
some of whom have resided here for many years, with this intrusion.
Respectfully submitted,
John and Janice Burke
