RE: Appeal Hearing —Jon F. Tolley4/10/25
Dear Ms. Fallon:
RECEIVED
APR 0 2 2025
YARW04-M i
BOARD OF AFP€ %J-S
The following is my supportfor my brother, Jon Tolley, regarding his appeal to be able to
continue to sell lobsters from his home at 23 Iroquois Blvd in West Yarmouth. I was born in
1960 and resided at this address until 1982. My father, Frederick Tolley, sold lobsters from
our home throughout my childhood. Once my brother started to fish for lobsters in the
1970's, he began selling lobsters from 23 Iroquois Blvd. Over the past 40+ years when I
have come to visit in the summer, I have observed Jon selling lobsters to many customers
from the yard. Also, my grandfather, Walter Tolley, had a business selling lobsters from his
home at the Bass Hole in Yarmouthport :n the 1960's and 1970's.
I fully support my brother's appeal of the Zoning Board decision. Fishermen in the Tolley
family have been selling their lobster catch from their residences for more than 60 years
with no zoning board actions or complaints until recently. This has been my brother's
income for decades and if his ability to sell from the home is prohibited, it will be
detrimental to his livelihood.
I am sending this letter to you since I will not be able to appear on April 10'h to support my
brother's appeal. Please give this letter of support to the board for the hearing. Thank you in
advance for your time and consideration regarding this matter.
Xncly,
Engel
