We appreciated the feedback provided by the OKH Committee and we have
modified the home plans accordingly.
1) The front of the house was a bit monolithic.
In response, we incorporated an overhang over the bottom windows
with an open trellis -type design.
2) The left side of the house was a bit boring compared to the rest of the
perspective renderings, especially since this side of the house would be
what most would see when driving down Wharf Ln.
In response, we added a 2nd window to the first -floor bedroom and
incorporated the same open -trellis style overhang that was used on the
front of the house over the bedroom windows. We also changed the
overhang over the side door (to the stone patio) from an enclosed
overhang to the open trellis -style design.
Note: We initially considered adding a trellis over the entire stone patio, but
after discussing this with the zoning board, we would need to seek a side lot
variance which we deemed to be time consuming and not likely to achieved.
