The meeting was held on December 18th, 2024 where we discussed the issue around the replacement of an existing fence structure. During that meeting, it was stated by the conservation committee that there was no guidance on # of fence pickets to be removed. The guidance that we would remove some pickets, and additionally raise the fence off of the ground, as well as remove excess debris. On January 2nd, 2025, taking advantage of good weather we immediately addressed the issue with the feedback we received during the meeting prior to written response. That morning we took the following actions: 1. Removed every 4th picket from the outside in, leaving pickets in that are required to support the signage which is requirement of our insurance for the Crowell Beach Association. 2. Raised the height of the fences to allow for appropriate spacing below to support storm surge. 3. Removed excess rocks and debris that abutted the bottom of the fence. 4. Widened the opening by removing a 3 foot section of fencing. We would be happy to review with the conservation in person at Crowell Beach and show what actions we took to comply with the said enforcement order. In addition, we can discuss the "pile ons" that were constructed without a permit and are doing harm to the beach & wetlands, which should result in an enforcement order from the conservation committee. Thank you. CBA
