It is past due, and the violation is subject to daily fines until it is resolved. I will keep you informed of any next steps including their hearing date, and the board can require removal of the wall especially if it is impacting your property. Dear Ms DiRenzo, My wife and I reside at 31 Grist Mill Lane. We recently completed a re-build of the house and have become full time residents. As you well know the permitting process for the rebuild was quite extensive, including several appearances with the Conservation Commission Board. Through out that process we were happy to comply with the conditions set by that Board. Unfortunately it appears that the strict conservation requirements applied to us are not applied equally. You will see that our neighbor at 27 Grist Mill has built a wall and put infill. We were not allowed to put a cobblestone border flush with the street. Attached are pictures taken at this morning's high tide (11/16/2024, 11:17 AM.) I am not naive to be surprised that the Creek comes on to our lawn; it happened prior to our re-build. You can see from the pictures that the wall obstructs the natural flow of the Creek. Prior to this significant change to the configuration of the property at 27 Grist Mill that water would naturally flow up their property. It also has diverted water onto our property significantly increasing the erosion. I am asking you how the Conservation Commission can allow this to happen? I look forward to discussing this matter with you and with the Board. Regards, John-Patrick Python 31 Grist Mill Ln West Yarmouth, MA 02673 (518) 461-2166
