COMMUNITY EVENT SIGN APPLICATION
Application is hereby made to install a Community Event Sign, in accordance with MOL Sect. 8, Chap. 85, and Town of
Yarmouth Zoning Bylaw Section 303.4.1,1 (except for maximum duration),and the Selectmen's Community Event Sign Policy.
An application may be submitted by religious,civic and non-profit organizations. Construction and installation of signs shall be
the sole responsibility of the applicant. Signs must be approved by the Yarmouth Building Department The locations must also
be approved by the Yarmouth Department of Public Works. Signs on town land must be approved by the Town Administrator.
Signs on private land must be approved by the property owner. There is no fee for Community Event Signs. This application
shall be accompanied by a diagram showing the design,dimensions,colors,and proposed location for the sign.
Additional regulations:
The size of signs is limited to thirty-two(32)square feet. If the sign is double-faced, only one side will be counted for
measurement.
Signs installed and permitted under this policy may be installed for up to 3 months duration,or until the advertised event or
campaign is completed,whichever comes first Renewals may be applied for through the Building Department
Tie content of signs must be non-poritical and for a non-profit organization.
Internal illumination, moving parts, or the appearance of moving parts is prohibited.
The applicants agree to abide by the terms of these laws and regulations, Community Event sign permits may be revoked at any
time for any infraction of these laws and regulations.

Hi Ms. Clarke;
I would like to know if I can please set-up a sign (regarding my camp) outside by the soccer fields at Mattacheese Middle School? It's
where the Yarmouth-Dennis Rec spring soccer games are played every Saturday.
I will offer a girls and boys soccer camp for the tenth consecutive year; this time at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in July.
Anyone from anywhere can participate.

Applicant Instructions
1) Applicant shall complete both sides of application.
2) One application form is required for each sign. Each sign will be assigned its own permit number.
3) Applicant shall attach separate 8 '/2"x I I" sheets including the following diagrams:
A) Design, dimensions and colors of the proposed sign
B) Freestanding Signs:provide certified plan by a professional land surveyor that describes how the proposed
sign meets the zoning requirements included in Zoning Bylaw 303.5.6 or 303.5.4,2 (as applicable). A
stamped and sealed "as-built" will be required before the permit is issued.
C) Attached Signs: show length of portion of building frontage that is occupied by applicant.
D) Temporary Signs: show location for sign
4) Sign permits are $40.00 each,payable at the time of application.
