I live in West Yarmouth near the corner of Andrina and Lorena Road. This letter is to support
the appeal of my neighbors, Marilyn Brown and Frank Southworth, to re -locate their shed
and reduce the size of its deck at 44 Lorena Road. The shed, which is used to house their
bikes and gardening tools, would have no impact on neighborhood activity and would have
no negative effect on the character of our neighborhood, being of a size and style
consistent with the location of other sheds in the neighborhood. To be without the shed
would represent a hardship to Frank and Marilyn. Living on a small corner lot with a
leaching field limits their options to locate the shed elsewhere.
They also have also replaced the original poor quality wrap -around deck on the back and
one side of the house with a slightly larger high quality deck that causes no undue
nuisance, hazard or congestion, and does no substantial harm to the established and
future character of our neighborhood.
