I serve as the Trustee of the Lavash Family Trust, which owns the property at 23 Echo Road. My sister,Jeniffer Ann Lavash,is the sole occupant and beneficiary of this residence. On August 6,2024,she received a quote from Conway Home Improvements of South Dennis,MA through RJ Home Improvements of West Yarmouth,MA,to replace the deteriorating wood shingle siding on the front of this property. She singly retained Mr.Richard Conway to perform the work. At the time Conway Home Improvements was hired,my sister specifically asked if a permit would be required to perform the work;Mr.Conway stated that a building permit was not required as the work entailed only replacement of existing wood shingles. The work was completed to my sister's satisfaction. Upon receipt of the Violation Notice on December 2,2024,my sister immediately contacted Mr.Conway, who stated that he would be sending an employee to the Yarmouth Building Department today(12/4/24)to obtain the required building permit. On behalf of the Lavash Family Trust,I apologize for this error based on incorrect information from the contractor. We would never inadvertently violate municipal building codes. We are working diligently to rectify the problem and remain in direct communication with Mr.Conway to ensure that the permit is obtained. Please contact either of us directly if you have any additional questions or concerns at 617-842-7903(Jeniffer)or 301-502-4171. Sincerely, W.Thomas Lavash cc:Jeniffer Ann Lavash
