8. ARMOR STONES SHALL BE OF NATIVE GRANITE
BOULDERS AS SPECIFIED FOR WEIGHT ON THE TYPICAL
PROFILE DETAIL. SELECT PRIMARILY UNIFORM,
(NON -ELONGATED) ANGULAR STONE SHAPES AND FIT
INTO PLACE FOR MAXIMUM STABILITY SUBJECT TO
REVIEW AND INSPECTION BY OWNERS ENGINEER. ALL
ARMOUR STONES SHALL FIRMLY CONTACT THE BED
STONES AND ALL ARMOR STONE DIRECTLY ADJACENT.
ARMOR STONES SHALL BE PLACES SO THEY INTERLOCK
TO AVOID SHIFTING. ARMOR STONES SHALL BE SET IN
A "POINTS UP" ORIENTATION.
9. REMAINING BOULDERS AND BEDDING STONE SHALL BE
REMOVED FROM THE BEACH AND BUFFER ZONE DURING
THE COURSE OF THE INSTALLATION. STONE CHIPS AND
BEDDING MATERIAL SHALL BE CONTAINED IN A STEEL
BIN OR OUT SUITABLE DEVICE.
10. ANY AREA OF BANK DISTURBED DURING
CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RETURNED TO
PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS. THIS INCLUDES
RESTORING THE BANK SLOPE AND PLANTING WITH
AMERICAN BEACH GRASS IN 12" CULMS SPACING. JUTE
MESH/MATTING WITH TWINE AND OAK STAKES SHALL BE
USED TO SECURE/STABILIZE THE SLOPE WHILE
PLANTINGS BECOME ESTABLISHED. THE BEACH GRASS
CAN BE PLANTED DIRECTLY THROUGH THE JUTE MESH.
11. INCIDENTAL GAPS AND SPACES WITHIN THE STONE
FACE SHALL BE FILLED AND FITTED WITH THE LARGEST
STONE THAT CAN BE FITTED INTO EACH OBSERVABLE
SPACE. PLACING OR DUMPING OF STONE CHIPS ONTO
THE STONE FACE IS NOT PERMITTED.
12. CONSTRUCTION ACCESS SHALL BE THROUGH THE
CONDO ASSOCIATION DRIVEWAY(S) TO THE TOP OF THE
BANK. THE ACCESS ROUTE AND WORK SITE SHALL BE
CLEANED AND RESTORED TO MATCH THE
PRE -CONSTRUCTION GRADES AND CONDITION, ALL
ACTIVITY OVER PRIVATE BEACH PROPERTY SHALL BE
SUBJECT TO ALL PRIVATE PROPERTY AUTHORIZATIONS
TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED.
13. CREATE/MAINTAIN 10' MINIMUM WIDE BUFFER
VEGETATED ALONG TOP OF ROCK WALL. PLANT SPECIES
TO INCLUDE BEACH PLUM, VIRGINIA ROSE AND
BAYBERRY, SEE MITIGATION PLANTING SCHEDULE.
14. ANY WORK WITHIN THE INTERTIDAL ZONE SHOULD BE
CONDUCTED DURING LOW TIDE ONLY.
