Dear JEN CRAWFORD,
Thank you for submitting your form, including a Notice of Intent, via the Heritage Hub (RC-
93395). The Division has reviewed the materials submitted with your application and has
determined that additional information is required to complete its review pursuant to the rare
wildlife species provision of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (WPA) and its
implementing regulations (310 CMR 10.37, 10.58(4)(b), 10.59), and the Massachusetts
Endangered Species Act (MESA) (M.G.L. c. 131A) and its implementing regulations (321
CMR 10.18, 10.20), as specified below:
1. 1) Submit an Analysis of Fluridone Impacts to Plymouth Gentian. The analysis must
include summarization of data available on species related to the state-listed species and
address the specific amount, form and brand of products proposed for use in this application as
compared to the literature sources. The Applicant must additionally submit an alternatives
assessment including the use of alternative herbicides.
2. ProcellaCOR is labelled for use against Sagattaria sp. at a rate of 6 fl oz/acre (1 pint/acre)
for foliar application. I’m not sure if there is an in-water rate. Would you be proposing a spot
treatment around the beach or whole lake treatment? One or multiple applications? Can you
submit the calculations to show if the proposed 5 PDU will or will not be impactful to
Sagattaria at the label rate?
The review of this form will not proceed until the required information is received. The
Division reserves the right to request additional information to understand the potential
impacts of the proposed project on state-listed species and their habitats.
No work or other activities related to your filing may be conducted anywhere on the project
site until the Division completes its review. Do not reply to this email with the requested
information. Please log into the Heritage Hub to update and resubmit your form. If you have
questions please contact Emily Holt at Emily.Holt@mass.gov.
Thank you,
