Regulations based on NFPA I (2021 edition) with mass amendments adopted 12/09122
Fire Deparunent recommends no unattended overnight charging of carts or bikes. Battery charging should
be localized to one area and be protected by smoke alarm. Recommend flammables cabinet for storage of
unused batteries. Battery chargers should be plugged directly in to electrical receptacles and not power taps
or strip plugs. Extension cords shall not be used as permanent wiring. Recommendations may become
requirements under the special permit.
